Wanted to get some opinions. Is the P41 uniform hiki has any good? Is it the right color? Is it accurate and correct? Currently, At The Front is sold out, and toppots wants an arm and a leg for both. So wanted to get some insight. Thanks in advance! Listed below are pics from hikishop:

In my opinion they don't look very good. Might be the pictures, but they just look off. The color is fine though. Im certainly no expert and my P41's come from the production of "The Pacific", and I'm not 100% sure on who made those uniforms (might have been the people of WWII Impressions) and they look great. At The Fronts are also top notch, but if their's are out of stock you might want to look at WWII Impressions stuff. Here's a link to an awesome blog with tons of info on PTO related stuff and he has a great section where he compares repro vs original P41's! m1pencil.wordpress.com/2010/09/02/p41-utility-jacket-comparison-originals-vs-repros/

My 2 cents... I agree with the link halfnelson provided. I would add though that ATF's dungarees are huge if you fall on the small end of the size (S, M, L) and their trousers run real big too, I'm a 36 waist and their size 32 is still too big on me. WWII Impressions' sizes are correct, sure they're more expensive but well worth the extra $

Color is typically the least important issue (unless clearly bizarre). Dye lots for all Armies of the world varied as there were millions of uniforms produced typically from a variety of suppliers under war time conditions. In addition colors faded at widely varied ways due to exposure to the elements and laundering practices. just wash and wear them a lot and I can assure you no veteran who was actually there would have an issue with your shade.
Thickness of the fabric and construction quality is another thing altogether but even this hides well under mud and web gear.

According to one book I have some army units thought the OD shade was too light for the jungle and dyed their HBT's a darker shade of green.
