This fellow has pretty decent rubber knife replicas and a few other assorted items that are up our alley. I ordered a couple rubber garand Bayonets and they look and work quite well. They're almost as much as a real bayonet but of course you can actually stick people with these. Another item he had that looked pretty good are the $6.00 helmet luminescent discs. www.fieldwerks.com

Hey 2nd Bat, I agree great guy, and good quality stuff, but, his website is actually www.thefieldwerks.com/. The other one is some hippie site... Kinda the opposite there, isnt it?

The rubber wabbles a little but not badly. I added silver trim paint where appropriate and the look very very good. With a tiny amount of filing they slide right into the scabbard and likewise with a little bit of filing they slide right onto Springfields or Garands and stay put nicely. Unlike a real bayonet you don't worry about people having them fixed on their rifles during game play. "Fix bayonets" is kinda of cool thing to yell in an event expescially when you see folks actually doing it!
I can't say that I've had a bayonet kill in a WW2 event yet. But the day is coming!

This guys stuff is great. I have one of almost everything, but he is not offering the Navy Mk 2 (K-Bar) anymore. Actually got 2 knife kills with that one. Same guy didn't know what hit him when we both run out of ammo and while he kneels to reload I scream and run at him with a knife! The look on his face was priceless.

Has anyone heard from him recently? I'm trying to find out how much it will cost to get an M1 Garand bayonet and M3 Trench knife shipped to the UK, and he hasn't replied to my e-mails.
Can anyone help?

.... rubber bayonets are stupid .... a guy was almost stabbed to death by charge someone with a rubber bayonet, guy dropped him and pulled out a REAL m3 knife... and honestly... if someone charge me with a bayonet i don't care if its rubber or real... I will drop that idiot hard and give him a few blows to the face because in the world we live in you can't trust that they don't have a real one... and your natural reflex tells you TAKE THAT FOOL OUT COLD!

Umm in most airsoft games that I know of you can't have a real bayonet but lots of people have rubber knifes for knife kills.

Still... I would knock the guy out cold out of reflex... if someone comes charging at me my instinct tells me to take him down... HARD...

Interesting response to playing a game I suppose...To each his own. We have never had an incident of someone trying to beat someones ass over a knife kill but time will tell.

i do reenacting as well where people do carry real knives and bayonets... so I am used to people carrying those... and I am used to assuming someone has a REAL knife or bayonet. I am just not very trustful of all people... i know theres a few crazy people that would be capable of doing it... i am just very against it... there was also a case when someone was running at a guy with a bayonet and the guy that was being run at was a ex military guy and he took the guy down hard and pulled out his m3 and pinned the guy down... it's just my views on it... game or not a game... I don't want to take the chance its real or rubber... same idea with a cop... if someone pulls out a fake gun... whats the cop gonna do? most likely shoot them because its a threating action... and im the son of a cop so i have been taught the same reactions... some one is coming at me in threat take them down... i have accidentally hit friends before when they jokeingly came at me in a self defense move... i am just very anti rubber bayonet and knife... and don't plan on changing my mind on that idea.

That's fine Doc. Like I said to each thier own. We haven't seen a safety situation come up yet but if we do we would handle it. Always good to see the what if's from other people like yourself.

Last time I checked Doc, you aren't ex military. You need to check it, at airsoft game no one is gonna charge you with a real bayonet or knife. Airsofters that put time and effort into their impressions, won't do that because they won't be invited back to play. Then who are they gonna play WWII airsoft with? Do much to loose. A rubber one on the other hand, is ok in my book. What do you, not shoot a gun at someone because it looks real. Fake guns, fake knives/bayonetts all fake.

Hmm I was thinking what if you thrust too hard and ended up hitting the other person with the end of your Garand or rifle, That would hurt. lol
I like the Rubber bayonet idea because as a USMC reenactor it would be very appropriate for me to have one fixed at all times especally on my springfield.

Lets settle down guys before there is a pissing match. Doc brings valid points from a reenactor viewpoint nothing wrong with that guys.

It's not a "reenactor viewpoint" per se. Several guys in my unit have the rubber bayonet, and I plan on getting one also. I would exercise caution in actually using it though, as they do look very real. My friend jabbed at me once with one, and even though I knew it was rubber I still jumped back. That being said though I still like them, and plan on using one in the field. As always it is an individual's good judgement which makes anything safe or unsafe.

I like the idea of fake knife, but...I dont think I would charge anyone because...it literaly would be bringing a knife to a gun fight...We all know whos gonna win that...but if you come across a person alone and off gaurd you want to bayonet him instead of shooting him...its better off for him than getting a bullet in the @$$. ;D

Allright let it be noted at all future events Doc would rather get his ass shot off at close range than have to fight because you decided for a knife kill....How do you feel about surrenders Doc?
