I heard Mauser mention once before that he found a name on a shirt and matched it to the listing of enlisted men in WWII I have a few names on items I would like to run if anyone would mind telling me where I can find the listing that would be great

I am sure we would all love this information. I have several named uniforms, one of which is quite interesting, and would love to more about who wore them. At the same time, sometimes it is harder to war a uniorm when you know the quit who wore it, just because they are heroes, we are people in wool and carrying plastic.

Well after looking for little while I did find this aad.archives.gov/aad/fielded-search.jsp?dt=893&cat=WR26&tf=F&bc=sl It is a semi complete record with a lot of holes but if you do find the person you are looking for it will give you his name/place of birth/ place enlisted/ and I believe where he was deployed. Like I said though it is still very much incomplete.
