A few New discoveries relative to these guns. The wiring between the mechanical assembly and the battery connection in the stock doesn't have a Tamiya clip up by the motor like the maruis do. This means if you disassemble the gun and seperate the two main components the wiring harness must come out of the stock entirely. Normally in a Marui this is a nightmare to replace if you remove it as the hole way down inside is barely bigger then the Tamiya clips. In the Double Eagle it's real easy as the hole is much much larger. Also the tiny hex screw that holds the entire gas reservoir assembly on the M-14 is easier to access (It's on top and exposed as compared to the Marui where it's underneath and accessed through a tiny hole.
Also Two of my guns failed to fire (Out of twelve guns!) At first I thought it was the batteries failing to charge and then I suspected it was a connection. One of the guns did in fact have a poor connection (easy fix) But even following that the guns wouldn't fire. I tried everything and found myself extremely frustrated. It turns out the wires were reversed going into the Tamiya clips on both guns. With that of course the guns worked great. I always test fire any guns I sell prior to sending them out to anyone. 99% of the time there are no problems in this case I caught a potential problem.
I'm sure this is just indicative of the normal teething problems of a new manufacturer but if I were the retail customer who received a gun like that I'd be pissed. Once reversed the guns shot awesome.

The base guns, tuned and tweaked without the conversion are $179.00 plus shipping. I have a few over an above sold orders and do have more coming but they won't be available till after the first of the year.
Once gone over with a little TLC and attention to miner hiccups the guns are absolutely incredible base guns.

EASY 101 Kid. I knew that was going to happen Read the post carefully. The finished conversion to a M1 garand using a Chinese Double eagle base is $560.00 finished. The base M-14 WITHOUT the conversion (The M-14) is $179.00 You could buy the M-14 NIB right now for $179.00 plus shipping. with all the extras and later on get the kit and do the conversion yourself.

Eh, I dunno. I Had trouble stripping my m14 to fix a spring in it. And I would rather have 2nd bat do a whole new one for me, and not convert my new m14. Since I'm portaying a Vietnam Marine, and I want to do maybe 2nd rangers, or maybe 2rd Marines or 3rd Marines, I could have my m14 and m1 garand. Not too sure though, depending on the cash i save this summer.

In answer to a PM the Double Eagle M-14 does not come standard with the scope, bipod and case shown (or the 2nd Bat sign!) They do come with a battery, a worthless Chinese charger, (worng prongs for the US) the scope mount, a nylon OD sling, a hi cap magazines some decent 20 gram Bbs (if there is such a thing) and a cleaning rod, and owners manual. Copied verbatim from marui! A very very good value in my opinion. They're currently around $180 and sold out everywhere but probably due to drop in price somewhat as production gears up to demand.
I've now swapped all but two of them over to Garands. People looking at large groupings of my converted garands either don't see (or feel) any difference between the Double Eagle and marui or say they like the way the "wood" looks on the Double Eagle.

The 'wood' pictured on the DE knockoff looks great, 2nd Bat. Thank you for sharing the information and progress with us.
