Hello,
I have alot of original gear and pieces of uniform from the korean war (some stuff is still stained with some guy's blood). I am wondering if anybody wants to share some pics of their "Korean Conflict" uniforms. I'll post some pics of my stuff at a later time.

That's a bit more sacred I think then a repro or something someone wore but didn't die in....makes you ponder the sacrafice our troops make to keep our candied ass' safe and sound.

I advise you not get it "fixed up" I suggest you put it up and not wear it. Get someone to sew a copy up for you and put the original away for safe keeping.

good idea, I haven't touched it in so long, I'm afraid it will lose it's value to fix it up. Does anybody know anything about this vest? It has a fur liner, and is a little heavy. Is it a M50 Vest or somthing? There is no stamps or anything. The 9th ID jacket is I believe an M50 field shirt, but I got that seperately from the vest.

Colors are hard to discipher, the shirt looks like a regular cotton Khaki shirt if it's OD that's a new one on me. The compass/ first aird pouch is late or post vietnam era as is the canteen and cover. The medic bag is not US issue and not Korean war era. The OD leggings look great. Are the trousers HBT? or cotton santeen? The vest is a very cool and unique item.

the field shirt was worn by a cook stationed in germany in 1950, I think it is just a mess kit piece of uniform. As for the pants...I have no idea where I got those. Probably from Walmart or some thing . The vest was of the 811th Tank Destroyer battalion during the Korean war. I think the cities written on it are the places the battalion toured. The rest is just in there to spice up the photo . It is random equipment I found laying around my house; you caught me red handed!
