They make the components to do an excellent one An all metal reciever group without the bolt assist even and the right muzzle and front hand guards. I'm really surprised they don't actually make the finished guns.
I also have a Marui M-16 VN which is an excellent gun in spite of the comments about barrel wobble. The star M-16 VN magazines work great in both and I like them alot.

Yes, That's actually what they're made for. Star is doing a great job in supporting the Mil Sim and reeanctor community by building affordable "Real Cap" magazines that in my opinion add a great deal to our hobby. I paint them with an aluminized paint for added realism and my son even fills the hollow cavities with real steel BBs and elmers glue to give them some added weight. The result are some very impressive magazines that look and feel great for very little money.
Sometimes and with some guns they require a strip of cloth tape in the mag well to fit snugly and flush enough to function properly but it's an easy adaptation and well worth it. Without the small strip of cloth tape you sometimes have to push slightly upward and forward on the magazines for them to work.

I am also getting the 10 mag box (I am guessing that is what you got) Are the mags silver or do they need to be painted
