I am virtually ready to order my Tokyo Marui Thompson from Den Trinity. However I am looking at the different packages and realizing just how new I am to this. I was wondering the following, If anyone wants to hit me up with any last minute "I was looking to sell my Thompson" deals If Den Trinity is the best place to order from, financially and trust wise, And if the A plus package (gun, battery, charger, 1 normal mag, 1 high cap mag, $363) is that much better than the A package which is virtually the same but minus the charger ($328) In otherwords, how much would a charger cost seperately since I could not find it myself on Den though I'm sure it's there. Here is the page with all the Thompson packages www.dentrinityshop.com/den_search.jsp?sby=3&sstr=thompson&pg=5&rpp=10I'm gonna go out on a limb and ask, What would you guys do?

Well, I ordered my thompson from WGC, got a bettery, but nio charger, and it is Hell trying to find one. I checked every store local, and nothing. FInnaly, I had to order one online, which annoyed me alot. Thus, I would suggest just getting one from Den.

Phantom, I would go with the A package (the one without the charger). It's ridiculous that you have to pay $35 for a trickle charger. If you have a hobby store around, you can buy a R/C "PEAK" charger (takes around 10 minutes to charge battery, and it maximizes the charge, they're very nice) for around that much. Otherwise, you can order one online or buy a cheap trickle charger online as well. The A plus package doesn't seem worth it.

Thompsonand extra mag here: www.gaairsoft.com/store.php?crn=64&rn=559&action=show_detail319.99~Gun www.gaairsoft.com/store.php?crn=59&rn=556&action=show_detail39.99~Hicap Battery and charger here: batteryspace.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=37339.95~3300 battery and smart charger (I have bought several batteries from this sight and never been screwed.) 399.97 Total Slightly more expensive maybe what is shipping from HK? Georgia Airsoft may still be running a special of whenever you spend 200.00 or more it is free shipping so shipping from there would be free. Plus they are american owned and reasonablly local in that case. If you are on the west coast then You might get faster shipping from HK but what is the shipping from over ther to here going to cost you? The batteryspace.com battery and charger are going to be better than what you get in the package from Den. They are also located in the states.

I can see that it says express shipping included but for my money I would support someone in the US and because if something is broken it is easier to deal with people in the US. plus better battery better charger averages the whole thing out to near the same.

Guys, you can get a battery charger for $10.00 at ant Radio Shack, Best Buy, and even Toys R Us. Just make sure you get the right charger for the right battery (ie. battery type and voltage). Bring the battery with when you buy.

I'm still waiting on a calculation of shipping from Den Trinity. Does anyone have any idea what it will cost to ship a Thompson, battery, normal clip, and highcap clip?

I ordered my thompson today and I will get a charger from radioshack. Three questions, once it gets here,
how do I remove the tip?,
do I need to oil it or anything before firing it?,
what kind of bb's do I need? and can I get them locally?

Ok, the orange blaze, I used nail polish remover, really simple, use the search, there have been topics on this before. As for the bbs, use 6mm, and I'd go for .20 or .25 grade. I get mine at Sports Authority.

ok...i got mine from WGC with their local deposit option and because of their siezure guarantee....i only got the gun from HK and the shipping wasabout $70..mags battery and charger i got stateside..any extras you get from HK will add to the shipping weight and can increase the cost a good bit. the "tip" is just paint around the muzzle...i just lightly sanded it and went over it with a bit of kylon flat black. yes, i would give a bit of silicone before you shoot it...around the feed area and clean the barrel out too...sometimes they can come with a bit of dust from storage. .20s,.23s(my favorite), and .25s work well.though you'll have to get them online since i don't know where you are and most places dont have an airsoft store.

Den Trinity is usually very good about complying with all US import laws. My past Den order have taken anywhere from 2 to 5 days to go through customs.

Lately (over the past month) there have been an extremely high percentage of seizures for seemingly no reason but perhaps that's just effecting the shipments to retailers. I hope that's the case.

You'll get it Phantom. Upon receiving it you will turn into an airsoft gun addict and spend all your money on them. You will sink deeper into the abyss and start to sell your personal possesions and your body just so that you can have the next WWII airsoft weapon. ;D
I look forward to dodging your plastic on July 8th!

The day of glory has arrived men! I received my Thompson today and already have a few questions,
what do I use to clean out the barrel and feed before firing?
and what is this little black thing with a cross section and a round section with what look like threads on the front? It was taped together and when I took the tape off it came apart and a little bag with the four screws for putting it together came out.

You can fire away, but I would suggest putting some silicon oil down the barrel before hand.

That little thing taped together is the adapter for the tracer system thing. I never really use it, think I tossed it because it doesn't fit on my 1928.

two more things I forgot to ask,
I was told I can get a charger locally at radioshack or toysrus, what kind do I need to get for an 8.4?
When I load the mags, moving them along the track to load them is extremely stiff do I use silion oil for that? and where can I get that?

There's a quick charger at Radio Shack that will work, I've seen them there. Ask someone there. I think you just need to break the mags in, shouldn't be a problem.

It charges 7.2-9.6 flat batteries for thier RC cars. It will work for your 8.4 flat pack aswell. An alternative is one of the many RC car quick chargers. Ebay is a good place to pick one up cheap I have a DC one that I picked up for 24.00 shipped two years ago and it works well and is small.
