Fairly random kit I wore at a match a couple weeks ago. First match I used my Kar 98k at wasn't even a WWII event. Trying for an African rebel sort of kit. Very comfortable, and kind of fun.

I like the oldie weapon at a modern event, but I'm pretty sure even african rebels wear berets correctly No offense, I like the outfit

My Vietnam impression, it has a long way to go. I've gotten an OD shirt and a boonie hat since then. Still need boots, suspenders, and some ammo pouches. I might portray the 25th ID or Air Cav maybe. Equipment: 3rd Pattern Uniform WWII OD Belt M56 ammo pouch M56 and M67 canteen Compass/1st aid pouch M1944 Ruck (just to carry tent supplies for events)

Ed, what are you basing this off of?
Everything I have seen has Delta in ODs and XMs...and your belt buckle is anachronistic for the period anyways.

Pics of Delta troopers , some wore ERDLs , a few of them bought this same type of commercial Tigers at a surplus store outside base just before the operation , a few of them where armed with M16a1s and AKs as well as XMs. Also conversations with Miraldi about the operation. The belt is wrong yeah , i grabbed it out of the '80s container and didn't realize i put it there instead of the '90s container , one small mistake . I am wearing the Delta/2nd Rangers modified jungle boots but no one noticed. Delta troopers in Grenada , ERDLs and AKs , as well as one of them is wearing the modified jungle boots.

Wow, you have so much stuff that you organize it by decade?...NICE I think Adler has so much stuff, his "containers" must be Conex boxes in the backyard! Adler, I am continually awed by you. So when does "Adler's evolution of the fighting man since the invention of the cartridge" Museum open? ;D

We are actually looking into buying a bigger house so that i can set up my stuff instead of having it in containers, so the museum should be open in a few months ;D ;D ;D ;D

Pardon my ignorance, but how were the jungle boots modified? Nick They removed the VIBRAM and PANAMA soles off the boots and replaced them with RIPPLE soles , the ones i have are '68 dated.

It's a reproduction PRC77, made from a synthetic resin. It's set up so you take an FRS radio and put it inside, and all your comm comes through the handset. The resin is invisible to the radio waves, so there's no loss of signal. Very cool piece of gear.
