Why you need bandoleer if you have thompson?

You REALLY shouldn't be using a Thompson.Especially for a regular infantryman. Thompsons were VERY rare in Vietnam. To echo viicii, whats the deal with the M16 bandoleer??

Ready for Operation:In Country! My 101st Vietnam medic kit includes: Right now all I have is a Thompson, which will soon be replaced with either a GBB .45 or XM177. The bandoleer is used for carrying packets of BBs

Haha, jk, I love seeing all these 'nam pics, it inspires me to think about my own impression. (Which I haven't donned in almost 18 months... hmm.)

M55 flaks are $$$ I am the kind of guy that when interested in doing an imp, checks and sees how much it will cost before I run out and buy anything just to make sure I have enough cash ( I dont have much to go around ). The good thing, is that I have a rough idea of how much a buttload of different setups would cost, from ww2 to modern. Yeah, weird Still, you guys look ace!

LOL, yeah, doubt you're the only one who does that. I did it oh, about every day in highschool daydreaming. M55= $$$$, those things are going for over $200ea on ebay all day, even more if you wear a L or XL like me especially. The 782 gear costs about as much as M56. I've got some great sources on where to get gear though after buying about 5x the amount of nam usmc gear I'll ever need so if you need any or want to know where to get some on the cheap, PM me and I'll let you know.

Since we are on the subject of Vietnam. I was recently watching Full Metal Jackets and I noticed that all the Marines were wearing 3/4 Collar M1969 flak vest. I thought that the Marines were only issued M55 flak vests?

Yeah FMJ is farbariffic, I actually portray Foxtrot company of 2nd bat, 5th Marine Regt and FMJ is about "Hotel 2/5". Having done extensivve research on the 2/5 units in Hue during the tet offensive, FMJ is NOTHING like what it really was.
The movie is good as a comedy imo, complete garbage for anything else.

I love the wrecked truck/van in the background. Adds a lot to the "battlefield" feel.

Man, in 20 years people are gonna think those are real pics IMO. Pretty much the terrain is the only thing that'll set you apart. You may want to add a watermark explaining that this is airsoft so people don't think you're "fake vets" and stuff like that.
