Hey all, anyone have any advice on dye? I am planning to dye a swedish or italian (prolly swedish) overcoat to be a dark green greek camo color. However, i need to know the basics of dyeing, I figure it will be harder because an overcoat is big, its not like a tshirt. Any advice? img71.imageshack.us/img71/8071/opliths3hd.jpghes wearing the overcoat im planing on replicating. I figure the pattern of the swiss/italian are the easiest. But that color is a really dark green.

That coat looks more brown/green than dark green. As far as dying it, go and buy a large rubbermaid storage container from Walmart or Target and do your dying in that. Don't use the washer method and don't do it in your bath tub.
There are french overcoats out there that look about the same color as the pic. Do you have an actual picture of the overcoat you are trying to replicate instead of an artist's rendering?
