Now before yall start going "What does WWII have to do with battlestar galactica?? What a nerd!" hear me out. Lately the episodes have been paralleling events in WWII and post WWII Europe. The Cylons occupied New Caprica and freedom fighters and insurgents, with the help of the Battlestar Galactica and the rest of the fleet, defeat them and escape. There's even a scene where the victorious Cylon centurions march down the main street, eerily reminiscent of the Nazis marching down the Arc De Triumphe in Paris. Now the episodes are about dealing with the humans who collaborated with the Cylons during the occupation. In WWII France the men collaborators were shot and the women collaborators were taken out to the town square and had their heads shaved. In battlestar galactica they are given a mock trial then shot out the airlock into space.

You can see the likenesses( is that I word?) between BG and WWII, While reading "1984" I found a lot of things that were like Nazis and the Commies. The Thought Police dressed in all black and if you said anything bad about the party you get thrown in jail and beat'n. Every one shares things in 1984, The worship they Party and Big Brother and in my mind he looks like Stalin.

Me and Hellmutt both watch the show religiously.
I have seen every single episode since the first two pilots on the original air date!
Best show on TV IMO.
It also shows that both of the shows writers are Poli-sci majors.
