I read a review on it...never...I wouldnt get it if they gave it to me for free...The Title "call of duty" is totally a WW2 name...not for Modern warfare...Im gonna stay far away from this one.

Yeah I heard the same thing. If the thing were "modern" warfare, the game would be basically calling artillary and airstrikes down all day. But still, I think that it would be cool to have a call of duty "modern" game of this quality. I know, I know, counterstrike and a hunded other games may be way cooler but the trailer of this one looked interesting.

The reason it ain't WW2 is becuase the gaming community and its citics are pissing and moaning about how there are to many WW2 games out there with just "Get good guns and kill the Nazis". Personally i'd like to see another WW2 but I'll still buy CoD4

I've never been a fan of "modern"-style warfare games, so I'll be staying away from CoD4. If I wanted to play US v Terrorists, I'd pick up Battlefield 2 and go at it or something. I dunno, it just never clicks with me, unlike WWII.
After Activision and Infinity Ward totally left the PC CoD2 community hanging out to dry with only releasing one "real" patch and PunkBuster (anti-cheat) WAY late in the game's lifespan, I think I'll be looking to EA to see if they treat their customers better.

EA is just as bad if not worse. They come out with a million expansions for one game without even fixing problems with the original game itself.

i'm with you spitfire and allshaus. battlefield 2 and all its expansion packs are one of my favorite games (I love all the battlefeild series actually) but could use some modifications. Back to the subject, I dont think I'll be picking up COD4 anytime soon.

EA is just as bad if not worse. They come out with a million expansions for one game without even fixing problems with the original game itself. I find EA a "mixed bag" when it comes to quality. Sometimes they give great support (C&C Generals did well) and sometimes, well, it's....atrocious. Anyway, considering all the crap I've taken from IW and such, I'm ready to take my chances with EA on Medal of Honor: Airborne and hope they really make this game stand out, because the developers seem really in-tune with the community.

If you guys are looking for a realistic modern combat game, you should try Operation Flashpoint. It came out a few years back, and since then theres been a sequel (Arma: Combat Operations). Its really a great game, will satisfy any realism gamer. Its interesting it didn't do as well as hoped when it was released back in 2001.

I tend to agree about EA. Lately they seem to be more about quantity than quality. I can remember when they would come out with games every so often but the game were great. now it Just seem like they are churning out crap as fast as they can (sometimes with a good title mixed in, but for the most parts they are somewhat sub-par).
As for the game, I think it's nice that they are expanding into other areas (the game looks great in almost every aspect), however, I do think there could have been plenty of other places to expand in the wwii category :cough: PTO :cough:
Then again we can always wait for airborne since that comes out soon. Hopefully EA doesnt find a way to screw that up.

Personally I dislike EA. Too many Medal of Honors and not to mention the graphics suck! It's just really repetive. And for this game I'll probaly not buy or rent it and stick with my Battlefield 2 on Xbox Live. (does ANYONE on here have live?) But if someone buys it for me randomly I'll play it. I'm really stoked for Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway.
