Dear airsofters,
I know some of you have done this. I am trying to replace the plastic grip of the WE luger with the repro walnut grip. My question is how did you do that? If you have a easier way, please let me know.
Thank you in advance.

Should be really easy. I'm betting the screw holes are on the same place. so just a matter of switching off the old grips and putting on the new. If they don't line up. Just drill another hole in the grip so it works

Not really...the repro wood grip would fit. Appears I will have to file it down in few areas to get in to fit properly...I am wondering anyone have done that before to get me some hint on how much wood to take out BTW...I just recieve my Mauser Boomhandle from HFC but the magazine is leaking from the base plate where the 2 pins are holding the base plate. Do anyone know how to fix the leak? Suggestion is really appreicate. Thanks. Happytanker

Can't give you the specifics, only that on my Tanaka P.08, of which the WE is a direct copy of, it was possible to fit real steel P.08 wooden grip plates. It did take some sanding, I did not do it myself, but anyways the question of how much and where should become apparent when you do the process. Do your measures real careful, never sand much at a time and test fitting all the time, it should come to you.

Regarding your broomhandle..i had the same problem with my mags..Just tap out the pins and apply a layer of silicone. Not spray, the thick greasy type you would use for gearboxes..And be careful when you tap out the pins..They are sort of "threaded" one one end..So if your not getting the pin out flip the mag over and try from the other side..Should be easy enough once you figured out wich side is the right side! And while your at it,lube the O-rings everywhere else in the mag.. Good luck!Tobbe

Thank you guys for the infor...I will try it. I got both the 4" and 8" WE Luger, they were impressive. The Boomhandle is great too except for the gas leak. BTW, anyone know where one could get the repro stock for the Artillary Luger??? I look into the web and ebay...man they cost over $250 for a repro....Oach-h-h-h Eugene

Oh just one more thing..Once the pins are removed the bottom of the mag sort of pops out a bit..Pull it out and apply the silicone on the rubber seal thats around it..And i agree..The broomhandle is a impressive gun..I you dont mind it being heavy and a bit bulky its a great back up weapon..
