Guys do you think it would be possible to buy a real M1 Garand stock and cut it in half( like troyluginbill did with his M1 Carbine conversion). Then after it cut in half you sand it down till the M14 internals fit inside. Well what do you think? -sgttom

edit 2009: actually there prices are not that bad for a finished reproduction stock and hand guards.

But are those stock made to fit an m14?!
edit: like did they repro them to fit conversions?

cabela's has garand stocks for CHEAP!!! $75 for the stock and $25 for each foregrip. they look good too.

The stocks are useless for the conversion and toboggan those are just regular Garand stocks. No one has been able to get them to work.

The finish on those stocks is Sportsman pretty not even remotely close to the military tung oiled finishes of a military field weapon. Sadly as mentioned several times actual Garand stocks do not accomodate the inner workings required for an AEG and even if they could the process of hollowing them out to work would be exhaustive.
