Now I know you've heard this a million times, well you're gonna hear it again. People when you're on the field KEEP YOUR GOGGLES ON! Now I know all of you are professionals and you do this but armatures like my friends and I don't always keep them on (I and two of my close friends do). Now before I continue I have a story to share: Two weeks ago we were having an airsoft war at a friends house; playing a game of "President". I was behind a tree with two tangos in my sights, when one dropped and started screaming. I ran over to him and asked him what happened, and apparently one of the other kids shot him in the eye with a sniper rifle, and he didn't have goggles on because he had lost them, and yet we found his goggles 20 ft away from him. He was taken to ER and is now regaining his vision. So people remember keep your goggles on, because the only thing that is going to protect your eyes when the pellets start flying is a one milimeter thick pair of safety glasses. -Wade

it boils down to just common sense... We would hate to lose a member do to not thinking when they play on or off the field....

Safety is very important. Yes, you might get your vision back but then again, you might not. At the MTO event in July one of the newer players (German) was caught up in the action in between the skirmishes and had forgotten to wear his safety glasses. I had to remind him to put them on during a firefight. I'm sure that's happened before. Just a reminder. Reminders are good and build good habits.

I never enter the field without them on, also I will be wearing a mouth guard from now on to prevent chipped teeth. I bought a mouth guard after the last event just as a seaftly measure.

lol, yeah that happened to my friend, he was shot through a pine tree when his mouth was open, and knocked out his loose tooth! lol! That's one way to do it.
I was shot in the mouth before, and nothing happened to my teeth. (I guess braces ARE good for something lol)

And all of this is why I refuse to wear anything but a paintball mask. It's all you're allowed to wear on fields around here anyway.
