For the work that goes into them over 1k but under 2k is reasonable. It is a custom built gun.

I'm building one for a guy now. I am not sure I would be willing to do another after this. It is a PITA but he is a buddy of mine. Schmitty on these boards may be willing to do it or AirsoftNY that I think occasionally hsows up on here and classicairsoft.com may be a way to go.

who ever builds a custom airsoft gun, and sells it, is going to take a huge loss, unles he has a CNC machine and plans 1000 units. Its just a ton of work.

The new ATF regulations also require Ppsh-41 & Pps-43 parts kits to be cut across the trunion. In some cases the trunion is cut completely off and not even included. This makes it very difficult to put the gun back together as either a prop gun, dummy gun, or airsoft gun. So thanks to all the soccer moms out there for that one.

Schmitty has an absolutely beautiful custom that he made for his wife to use. It is gorgeous Shoots and functions beautifully (his guns always do!) In talking to him was exremely hard to trim, shave and hollow as well as tweak to fit. He provided details on it somewhere in the board. I doubt he'd sell it and believe he could easily get $1600.00 for it if he did. Given the time required even at that it doesn't make business sense to do it. It is a cool gun in that it could be used in so many periods with so many units. Soviet WW2 obviously but it was also popular German battlefield pick up and was also seen in use by North Koreans in Korea and VC during Vietnam. You occassionally see them in Afghanistran and in addition a bunch were just discovered in crates in Iraq!
