I have come across a line on a real enfield rifle for an affordable price and I was wondering if American troops ever carried them into battle? I know the whole never say never, but I'm saying was it at all common?

I'm sure if you looked at the hundreds of thousands of photos taken during WWII you could find one with a us soldior holding an enfield. But I'd never use one in a u.s. impression. If you can justify buying an enfield for any reason other than that, do it.

Gee, you've got the world at your fingertips, and yet you're adamant we didn't use them? Try the M1917.

The awesomeness of a bolt-action rifle was clearly lost on the Americans

1. 03 Springfield 2. The ability to make functioning semi-auto rifle was clearly lost on the Britiah. BSEG.

Not for the infantry combat common to WWII. This type of combat was what inspired to the creation of the assault rifle concept - and a semi auto rifle is undoubtedly closer to an assault rifle than a bolt action rifle.

We could go on and on about this and not get anywhere, the person most informed on the subject will probably have the more solid answer. I'm not gonna say anything but most of us know whats "better". Why we dont just stay on subject.

I guess it's only loving British stuff that makes you like Bolt-Action, foolish Americans, The M1 is a better weapon for quick shooting but if you don't have carpeltunnel then the Bolt Action rifle is right for you
