Okay I was just wondering if I could buy the Spannish version of the helmet and use that? Because the local army surplus store near me gets them in every so often.

A few? The liner is wrong, and they can only be worn with a helmet cover due to the cosmetic differences. Just buy a 100 dollar repro and be done with it.

I agree with Nimlas. I used to convert the Spanish helmets prior to the Hong Kong M35's availability. It cost:
$35.00 for the helmet $15.00 for a repro chinstrap $5.00 paint $45.00 for a new liner
Total - $100.00
AND...they are smaller than a "real" German shell and there is a lot of work involved filling extra rivet holes and getting that damded brachet off the front. Buy a repro M35. Drop me an PM and remember I give you guys a 5% discount. ;D

Capt. ZaK, do you think they could be moddable to FJ helmets? No, the brim would have to be hacked off and again...all that work & aggrivation and you are not saving any cash in the end.
