I am a memeber of two reenacting Groups the first one is www.secondinfantry.com (Allied) and the second is Axis www.fjr3.com . About 30 Reenactors live in the South Florida Area. We saw the photo of the Airsoft battle on the FJ Reenactors forum and about 20 of us want to start playing airsoft locally on the weekends. We have a great park about 20 minutes away from where I Live (Markham Park). The have a large wooded area that was used for mountain biking and a large section of it is not used . I want to present to the park superviors some facts on how safe airsoft is. I really want to get it in this park can anyone help me with my research. Thanks, Tim www.fjr3.com

Hello!
I'm a member of FJR3 8th Kmp. in upstate NY, we are holding a three day airsoft event in the middle of July.
I see your situation, and I think it may be hard to get in due to safety reasons and liability issues with the park. Your best bet may be to try and find a local airsoft or paintball field that will accommodate your needs.
However, If you are interested in heading to a larger WW2 event, we are here! Check out the East Coast Discussion for "The Mignano Gap"
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
-Sean

Don't forget that if you're trying to get permission from a very echo-friendly park that you can use biodegradeable BB's and that the guns are electric, spring, or gas powered. Good luck with getting into WW2 airsoft. I'm sure you guys would be a big addition to the Florida region. You may want to PM one of the members here, CharleyNovember, he's been a very active WW2 airsofter in Florida as well.

We have the Anzio game coming up in November in Athens, GA not a short drive but we have seen people from the Miami area make the drive before. I believe one of you guys have contacted me about including blankfire with airsoft. We cannot do that where the field in Athens is. It is 20 acres but surrounded by sub-divisions and houses the crack of real rifle fire would bring complaints no doubt. We would still love to have you out. I am also still trying to arrange a training sort of event in Waycross which is about an hour across the NE Florida border. Looking to try and get that done in August. Again would love to have you. Feel free to PM me.
I have emailed a fellow back from your group just this morning. I hope to hear more from you guys.

Hey, I'm with Item Co., 101st Airborne reenactment group in Florida. www.101st506hrs.org/I'm looking for a Florida historic airsoft group to join. I don't own any airsoft guns yet but I'm considering getting into the hobby to supplement my reenacting. Is there some way for me to check out an event to see if its something I'd like to pursue?

Feel free to contact me. I have been trying to get more people into historic airsofting in Florida I am in North East Florida. I have a couple guys up here that run 82nd airborne. I'd love to talk to you about it. Again I will be running a game in Athens, GA in November. There is talk of some other games in Florida this year but I don't expect the standards to be as high as I would like., but then I can't control that just show up in the right gear and hope it encourages others to do the same.

Twhigham, if you want to check out airsofting in general, I suggest you go to www.floridaairsoft.com, and look for some of the games there. Granted, it will most likely be a modern scenario, if we can get them more interested by WWII themed airsoft, then perhaps we can get some of them to build kits, and post here!
