Hello all, I was checking SANKEN's coming-soon page this morning, and noticed the following: www.mojji.com/jp/fax/fax1877.htmThe magazine for the 8mm GBB M2 Carbine is coming out soon, it should ship out to Japanese retailers and distributors around Dec. 18, with a JPY retail price of 5500JPY (Approx $46 USD) Hopefully the actual M2 itself will be in tow. Sanken's coming soon page: www.mojji.com/en/fax/fax.htmIt's very handy for seeing what will come out, and what items are going to be restocked soon at most end-retailers.

Yeah, it's no longer news of when it should be released... it HAS been released to Japanese stores... now the two questions that remain 1. When will it be available to the US and 2. Will it take the 15 round magazines?

Just left AirsoftGlobal site. Available now $313. No mention of 15 round magazine.

Well the mag is comes with is 15 rounds, and based on the reports Ive read, it appears as though they just took the mag internals from the M1 mags and re-skinned them into the banana shape.
Which is a puzzler, unless they did it to get the gun to market sooner and they are going to release a real 30rd mag later as an up-sale.
Either way, it will be mine!

Thanks Jager Drew, you hit the nail on the head. I just brought the news to here, absolutely nothing wrong with that.
I'll definitely be picking one of these up once the weather warms up here (a bit too cold for gas-power at the moment, usually around 10-20F.) I've always been tempted by the M1 Carbine, but was always put off from the manual-cocking aspect of it.

I want to get one, even though I'm a Kraut! The M1 CARBINE was popular among the Krauts. For what ever reason they liked it. HOWEVER...for historical accuracy's sake, it should not be used by every German in a squad.

Well I'll be awaiting your review of the carbine. I'll have some cash to spend after Christmas and I REALLY "need" an M1A1 Carbine for my pathfinder getup

Can't wait for the full report. I've benn anticipating this variation from marushin for a long long time. Have they indicated that it's GBB or non blwback? I know it's semi which is of course the main thing. GBB probably will result in a reduction of power vs the current, cock it every time, but reach out and touch someone power house variation. Also is it 8mm or 6mm? 17 or 18 rounds of course are going to go away in a hurry even on semi so spare mags are a gotta have.
I will own this gun barring horrible reviews.

Say the m2 works with the short 15 round magazines. Has anyone been able to locate a place that still stocks them? I've been looking all over but can't locate them!

I've ordered one. I hope I can get it before the Long Winter battle of the Bulge game although as a gas gun it's probably un usable for that event. Spare magazines unfortunately were sold out as well. I'm extremely hopeful that they short regualr 8mm magazines will drive this guy. 15 rounds will go away in a hurry however.
