I bet it would be easy to now make other side-loaded weapons based on this, like the MP18, Type-100, and FG-42. The Sten in of itself looks quite impressive. I wouldn't be surprised if Viva decided to drop the MG-34 in favor of this. They would basically have a monopoly on the British WWII market, and if AGM manufactures an MG-42 there would probably not be enough love to go around for an MG-34 too.

Well if this proves to be true then I wont have to sell my MKIII Stens then. Kinda happy about that though.

A video of it shooting is pretty good proof, unless it's just Schmitty playing a joke on us, he's had sten aegs for years now

Schmitty's Stens are brilliant, but somewhat beyond the capabilities of your average 'softer. Stens are hard to build, I mean Tommy Gunner thinks so and if he says it, I would tend to believe him.
I know that Viva is pretty suspect, but there is that darn video and we British enthusiasts need something to cheer about!
They did a ok job with the video but couldn't they find a decent Para in all of Hong Kong ;D

I think as many of us as possible should contact the company and show an interest here. It looks to me as their could be other possiblities as well. With proff of the sten they could easily make other popular guns like the PPSH41. That is why I say contact them and show them the demand. I would buy a sten just because it's so cool!

I been in contact with Viva and their distributor.
That said I would like to co-ordinate our efforts if we are trying to do a group buy. I don't want to be competing with someone here for the first releases. I would rather one of the more well known people here. (Gordak/2nd Batt?) spearhead this as they are well known and trusted.
Please PM me.
Thank you.

The new Viva Arms Sten will cost about $400 without the delivery fee.
So can we assume about $460 delivered from China?

Apparently the true price for a Viva Arms Sten MKII is now officially in.
The boys on the UK airsoft forum ordered them and they came out the 320 pounds a gun, thats $463.
So $463 and then add shipping from Hong Kong so it should put it in the over $500 range.

I speaking with Viva's distributor out of China.
The cost is much lower than $400 per gun. But (and it is a big but) his minimum order is 10 guns if you want to air ship.
I really do not need 10 guns and I do not want to become a dealer so I will wait with everyone else. He told me that only 25 guns will be made for the first order and they are spoken for, but that just means some dealer has purchased them.

Here is a very quick look at the Viva Sten made possible by "Enemy at the Gates" over on the UK WW2 Airsoft boards.
"The review was completed tonight but I can't upload it at the moment. It turns out that YouTube has been banned in China as of this week and it's going to take 24 hours to upload the 223meg file up to my private server. I leave for the UK tomorrow morning and will be in HK all day tomorrow, so I'll give it a bash from there. If not, then it's going to have to be Tuesday night UK time.....
A brief roundup however, is it is deffo not worth the money in my opinion. Serious issues with the trigger switch and ejection-port cover, cocking bolt. They have cheapened it's manufacture by using low quality switches and thin aluminium. For the dosh they are demanding, they could have microswitched it and put a steel ejection port cover in. More will be revealed in the vid...
Cheers Steve"
According the the posts on the UK WW2 airsoft forum, people in the UK paid 350 pounds for it thats about $500.

Hmm..It almost sounds like you are indirectly promoting your own product TG?.. Yes, 500 is a bit pricey but it's still a AEG Sten on the market and if the price drops a bit i think that some of us is ok to deal with eventual cosmetic and functional problems..As usual.. :-)

On the contrary I want the Viva Sten to do well. While I do offer a Sten its actually not an airsoft gun I enjoy building. They are expensive to make and getting the parts requires alot of searching. Building them also takes time away from building my Enfields and Springfields.
Should the Viva Sten do well I wont even offer my Stens anylonger as there will be no need to fill the gap becuase a manufacture capable of making them in large quantities will have done it for me.
Im just dissapointed that they cost as much as mine and are not even built to the highest of quality when I know it can be done, becuase I have done it lol.
I do hope that the price comes down though even if the quality does not improve.
