Well it seems a great chapter to ww2 airsofting is coming to a hiatus or end... Since Charlie November is gone and 2nd bats getting out of the game for a while, who will make custom airsoft guns? I mean im not knocking anyone who makes customs now its just these guys were solid makers and their leaving leaves an increadible void in the community... Im extremely pleased to see them not get out of the ww2 airsofting scene though, always there when needing advice and i thankyou gentlemen for all of the time, hardwork, and dedication you have put into it!! im also sad to see so muchtime taken away from your personal lives guys, it seems we take for granted all of the things they do for us here. 2ndbat i hope you get lots of enjoyment out of your time off, charlie november im sorry to see a health issue come up and i hope you get well sir! take care both of you guys!

Well tommygunner is still making guns, but I believe college is slowing him down a bit. I make guns, not often, or for purchase but I do and can. I recently got a mill/CNC that will soon help me put a reasonably priced BAR on the boards. But school and other projects have brought me to a halt. My expected time of finishing this BAR wont probably be till next year. But you never know what might happen.

From what I know Tommygunner will be back in production once he returns from school (mid May?). And there's still quite a few members making things privately, so don't worry, it's not the end, it's a new chapter. ;D

Yeah its deffinatly not at an end. As soon as school is out for the summer and I get back from college Im going into full swing with production and expect to sell around 50 rifles before I halt production in late August. I have been stocking up on parts and supplies and am im a much better position to produce in quantity than when I started building last summer.

I must say, i kind of took an Airsharp turn. I was originally going to be making a cheap almost m1928 (just slightly not, but only like $160 for the working gun, since they are simple), but i am more than likely going to just sell the two i made, end it there, and turn my attention to interesting one offs (25mm, sniper rifle/grenade launcher anyone? ). The real problem with getting into custom gun fabrication (at least for me) is that you are never guaranteed to have a customer base next week. I was ~50% through making CAD drawings to machine an MP44 when the AGM one came out, and i simply wouldn't be able to compete. So it is hard to start to make a custom gun, to put all that time and effort just to see everyone who wanted one disappear. That is simply why i am going to finish and sell the two i made, use the money to reinvest in making custom one offs, and selling those when i get bored. The other problem is the balance between accuracy, cost, and workload. For example, if i was to make a superbly detailed m1928, it would probably cost almost as much as the MM or AZR ones and take me forever, and it wouldn't be worth it. But if i go for less accuracy, it will be much cheaper, but not accurate to the real steel, so some people wont want it. This whole debate rages on, and discourages many people from entering.

Ahmen. After the burn out from being in the airsoft business for 7 years, I took nearly a year off and am looking at making customs again, but now I am making only the things I am interested in, and if a few friends want to buy one or two, no problem, but I am never making airsoft a primary income again.
