the beretta was an Italian gun. The Germans basically disarmed Italian troops after the armistace taking their rifles, equipment, and even camo. It occured on all fronts that they were fighting alongside one. Theres a terrible movie that depicts this event called, "Captain Corelli's mandolin." Its worth watching once then making fun of it for the rest of forever....

oh i know its an Italian gun, I was merely illustrating that one doesn't necessarily have to have a full Italian impression to use it.

You will see a lot of Luftwaffe troops carrying Beretta 38s mainly because when the Germans took over control of Italy the Luftwaffe took over the Fabbrica d'Armi Pietro Beretta and stopped production of all weapons and concentrate on nothing but MAB production.

I took the guts out of an uzi mag turned it 180 degrees, and fit it back in. It slides right into the magwell with no further modificaton The airsoft barrel slides right down the real steel 9mm barrel nice and snug, like its made for it. the UMG hopup unit needed the switch taken off to clear the top of the receiver and now it slides right into place. Took some dremmel work but the mp40 box also slides in perfectly mating with the hopup unit. I fired it! no jams, ripped up a card board box Now I need to rout out the sock to make room for the gear box, make a trigger, fabricate a receiver tube that can hold a li poly battery, and it's DONE. Too bad these kits are so much money now, I got mine for 80 bux. -Gordak

Simply a great job on that SMG. I love the use of the AGM Mp-40.

Thanks guys, It saw action this weekend, though I only had one mag for it, I went and fired it into the hordes of advancing enemy, worked great, I need to add a charging handle, better looking trigger, and then make 6 or 7 mags for it.
