Alright, someone tell me if this is ok. I think that some soldiers just wore their flannel shirt into combat. Plus they were required for d-day
a wool flannel shirt with insignia
wool trousers
boots/leggings
pistol belt m1936 suspenders

Sounds like a pretty good start . Don't forget a helmet too. Pretty much every enlisted man in the ETO wore the wool flannel shirt throughout the war, or HBT's to a lesser extent. Yes, sometimes just the shirt was worn, especially in the hotter areas like in the Italian Campaign (MTO), but usually you see field jackets being worn in the ETO as it was much colder there. It's all a matter of personal preference though. If you get hot take the jacket off, and just shove it in the back of your pistol belt!

Thanks, yea, I need a new helmet too. I am planning on getting an m-41 also so it would work out.
