I'm sure it's possible, but why? I've never heard anything good about Well guns, you might be better off with the stock Dboys.

because i already have a well l96, and its pretty boring. I want a powerful, accurate k98 springer, but the dboys is crap. I dont have enough to buy the bar 10 too, but no uk supplier stocks them at the moment anyway because of a problem with thier trigger sears. Therefore my only real option is a l96/dboys conversion.

I've looked at a couple of pictures but couldn't find anything clear enough to see if it would work. If you could take the stock off of the rifle and show me a picture of the internals I could tell you if it would work.

I think l96 bolts are longer then most bolts so it might be hard.

Also I'd like a measurement on the Diameter of the bolt.

Right...i dunno if this is what your after, but here goes. The total length of this from the back of the reciever, to the front of the barrel is 83cm The length of the barrel, up to the reciever/start of the RIS rail is 61cm. The height from the top of the RIS rail, to the very bottom of the trigger is 11cm the mag release catch, and the hopup from below. the diameter of the Bolt is 2.5cm Hope this helps!

The big problem I see is the receiver area is square and is not shaped correctly. Either you'd have to do some serious sanding work with a dremel tool or you could craft a new receiver. Both would be hard work. I'd sell this and buy an AGM MP001. The AGM MP001 can be bought for around $60 and is a decent gun that is convertable.

Hmm, buy an MP001? I live in the UK and as you may be aware we have ridiculous laws that allow only "2tone" guns if you are not UKARA registered. I'm not UKARA registered, and there are no MP001's 2tone, so this limits my options. Thanks for all the info anyway

Does that mean it has to have two colors like black and wood grain? Because there are AGM MP001's with two colors.

Now now, let's not get into Guy on a short bused laws. We don't have that much time.
Kershmallow- What are the laws regarding components? Like just the stuff you would need, not a complete gun?

No, 2tone means it has to be BRIGHT green, blue, orange or a few other colours. The law only states replica firearms must be 2tone: not components. There shouldnt be a problem of me ordering say a new spring, or maybe a new reciever? Why, what did you have in mind shadycadence?

Do you know anyone outside the UK? Someplace this law does not apply? (preferable close to you to save on extra shipping) Here's the plan: Order the gun, have it shipped to your friend. Have your friend dis-mantle the gun, paint the stock green to comply with regulations (what do you care, you're not using that stock anyway) and re assemble the gun and ship it to you. The gun now complies with the laws, you get what you need and you owe your friend a favor. It's a win-win!

that is a very good idea actually! the only problem i can see is HM Revenue & Customs. i hear they can detain your gun for weeks, even if it complies with UKARA legislation. They also add on a large charge (about £30-£50) for all their *cough* hard work. Lovely people!

The friend could break it down into minimally recognizable pieces, and ship each one separately, that way they may not even notice it, and if they do, if they only hold up one piece, you are less likely to be totally screwed (and they might hold it up for less time)
