Hello there again.... it seems i have another problem Okay....so today I went up to my friends house and went to a secluded location to test fire my gun. Well... it wasn't really a "secluded location" it was more of a quiet alleyway in between to insignificant buildings up in the mountains next to his apartment. (We've done this quite a few times actually) So here we are with my MP44 and we're shooting a few cans probably 15 meters away, the bb literally went through the can with ease. So yeah the hitting power and the accuracy of the gun is not bad (the hop-ups a little crappy though). So yea I go full auto with the gun and literally shredded the cans in 2 minutes. AWESOME FIREPOWER!!!! xD So anyways 10 minutes later we hear a really loud motor bike pass by and guess what happens next? A policeman turns the corner and starts walking towards us (oh shi...) Well thats another story xD the problem of this gun is that the fps is so damn high. Its so high it even got me in trouble with the police (He accused me of "modding the gun" (which was illegal in my country)) Oh well so here is my dilemma: Should i downgrade my MP44's spring? or not?

Well, it sounds like it is basically required for you to downgrade the spring to stay out of trouble. As well, since i think it is shooting in the mid 400's, you will probably have to lower the FPS to at least 400, so as to play at fields, and not present a serious risk of injury.
However, it sounds like a catch-22, it is illegal to mod the gun, but it is too high to really use. When they mean mod, do they mean mod to shoot higher, or what? If it means open it up at all, that is a questionable law, but i don't know what to say, if it is against shooting higher, then, well, making it have a lower FPS shouldn't present a problem.
Personally, i would take the FPS to just about 380 or so (m115 spring probably)

I know Sir Veilance put a PDI 150 spring in his and it shoots around 380 now.
I am about to do the same. Our events have a 500fps limit, but guns over 400 are limited to semi-auto only with a 50ft minimum engagement distance. I want to set this puppy to 'rock n roll' which means a new spring.

I know what you mean =/ So I guess I should downgrade xD

I meant to say it was illegal to modify air soft guns to shoot at a higher fps xD Yeah i guess I should just hurry up and downgrade so that I can join my friend's games with a paltry 400 fps limit ;D
