I've seen IMA's WW2 stuff, aside from the holsters and leather gear, the rest of the stuff looks like junk. They have a DAK tunic with really bad insignia on it,also, the breast eagle is on the WRONG side! Right there tells me I want no part of what they sell. Do yourself a favor, save your money, and get a nice refurbished helmet from Hessen or Grigsby, you'll be glad you did!

I think it is really a hit or miss thing on what they sell.
I have bought several things from them I have been very pleased with. The only thing I had a gripe about was the M1910 bayonet I bought from them, its wider than an original and does not fit in my reproduction or original M1910 scabbard. So I simply took a grinder to it and thinned it down. All in all for $70 compared to a $300 original I cant really complain all that much.

Get one from Hessen. Or even Grigsby for that matter. IMA sells those damn Spanish helmets with German decals! with the famous line "great for reenacting!" NOT!

I have that helmet, and it's... sub par. I bought it because they had a sale and I was able to get it for $50, and it's nothing to write home about. I would definitely agree to go with a different helmet. At some point I'll sell this one and get an original. Until then, it'll have to do!

I see that this helmet is bad, but if any of you have experience please tell me WHAT is bad about it( ie.wrong liner, wrong chinstrap, it's an M55, etc.)

I have this helmet and i think its pretty damn good for the price. The only gripe I have is the chinstrap which can easily be replaced. I see no reason why you shouldnt get it.
