Great another incorrect WW2 version of the M1 carbine! The bayonet lug wasn't added till very late in the war,and were probably never seen in the ETO. I have an original M! carbine that was manufactured early in the war,but then fitted with the useless bayonet lug either late in the war,or during Korea.

Fusiler,
You're a little late to the party I'm afraid. The gun shown was an old version carbine (there was a 6mm made by Marushin before this one) and later an M2 actual semi automatic version. The one shown has to be cocked with each shot and is gas operated. Going way way back Marushin made a 6mm semi automatioc that had two gas reservoirs one that powered the blow back while another powered the BB.
These have become quite rare and it's cool to see someone has some still new in the box. Sad in that the fact that they still remian in a shop unsold probably explains why production ceased.
The discussion about the bayonet lug has pretty much been beaten to death on this site and many of our members owning the gun removed it long ago. The 6mm and 8mm early carbines are good hard shooting guns and actually more skirmishable than the actual semi auto Gas Blow Back current edition.

I have an original M! carbine that was manufactured early in the war,but then fitted with the useless bayonet lug either late in the war,or during Korea. I also have a 4-43 dated carbine that was modified late war. It's very common sadly. I personally love the gun, I wish it was cheaper to shoot.

... Ive just went down the shop and bought up the last one. The box is beaten up anf with lets say 5mm of black dust sadly. The styrofoam is about to breakup and the magazine o-rinng has like white stains. Not much of a problem but..You know...I supposed a better condition...

Isn't this the same old carbine that we have been seeing for years now? That M2 was the latest verison. It looks exactlly like the one I bought a few years ago, same box artwork.
