Hey all, Well, I've been wondering, A)What webgear should one use if they use a Grease Gun? and B)What is the cheapest, in US vendor of the grease gun, where I can get mags, and a mag pouch, etc.?

None of my links work so go to atthefront.com and click on u.s. field gear. then click on the ammo pouches. Scroll down and find the M-1 ammo pouch that is it.

That one in the link above looks alot like the one they used in the vietnam war. I'm thinking that they would be post war as Moores sells them and says they are all DSA dated. Gordak you do the nam aswell it just looks to post war but I could be wrong.

The design is identical to WW2 era dump pouches and even has the dot snap when many have the strap. Both are WW2 designs. These pouches continued to be used by the military and a general nbag for well into the Vietnam era. Often they are dated with the manufacture named as well. I wouldn't sweat the design as it a item of kit common in WW2. Looks to be a pretty good deal for the money as well.
They typically bring far more then that on Ebay. Especially in the ever popular Khaki. Can't tell if the one shown is OD or Khaki. Either would be fine for WW2, Korea or Vietnam.

If you live close to Radcliff, Kentucky, their is a nice little surplus store called Gold Nugget Army Surplus. They have the exact same pouch as the sportsman's guide, but for like $8.95! Try www.goldnuggetsurplus.com . Don't know if he sells them on the web site, But I know he sells them at the walk-in store. Maybe you can work out a deal.
