In my quest to equip myself like an early 1942 USMC, I have come to the conclusion that although the M1911 Colt.45 I have is really nice and, was available in small numbers at the time of conflicts like the Raiders participated in in the Pacific theater, the Smith and Wesson M1917 Colt.45 Revolver was still the norm for a USMC infantry man to carry if he was lucky enough to get his hands on one. Thus I would like to know if anyone makes an M1917 Revolver, Who makes it, a web site state side that carries, it and about how much it costs(But only if someone makes it ). A plus would be if any of you own one maby you could give me a heads up on it. P.S. I think I saw something similar to it on redwolf but they said it was a police gun, but Im confident its an M1917. Thanks Tommy Gunner

No one makes the M1917 yet. The gun at Redwolf is the S&W M10 police model also known as the "Victory Revolver". Here is a shot of mine with original WWII grips added jeffzak.tripod.com/38revolver.jpg

That looks really nice. Now would I be able to pass that for what the marines carried?
