Thanks Jager Drew. I keep intending to hit a battlesim game but have been busy on those games so far. My Dad actually lives about 12 minutes from the field and he has a helleuva Waffen SS kit going. I can scrounge together a general ETO bit together between gear and army HBTs. I tried talking a japanese buddy of mine into doing an imperial japanese impression but WWII japanese militaria has gone through the roof. Even the replicas at stewarts militaria are expensive. But it can be done-if you have the cash. Is Battlesim going to have a winter game again this year?
By the way-how do you post pics?

Hey really truely great imprssion I am impressed (love the yellow grenade), I would loose the 5 cell Thompson mag pouch and the shoulder holster for the Colt.45, Both of those were more common to the Europen campagn, and while I dont doubt they had them in the PTO they were at the least bit rare if not ever issued to the USMC. Thanks TommyGunner. These are my airsoft kit, so lots of extra ammo that isn't bagged. The real reenacting kit has a drop down leg holster and one of the Valkyrie Arms grease guns. Gotta admit I love the thompson but the grease gun with collapsible stock is sooooo much easier to lug around. Not sure which I would prefer given the PTO conditions, each had its merits. I have a hudson gas grease gun I use sometimes but honestly I think I may convert it to an AEG next summer. If only I could get the bolt to move as it fires with the reliability of an AEG.

A older post, but now that Indianapolis has a Marine unit starting up, I thought I'd nudge this one.
I wouldn't mind a non-historic style WWII game- with the focus on doing WWII only impressions.
I may be able to get the Marion, KY field to use in the spring. Would anyone be intrested in a FRI Night-SAT-SUN morning game- along the lines of traditional reenactments?
