Well I sent the $ off last night, now I play the waiting game........ $288 from UNCo, $340 to the door with shipping. Will update with pics and review as soon as she arrives- Was seriously debating on this or a WGC custom M16VN for my 'Nam impression, but what the heck- this is gonna be way cooler. And I could 'fudge' the 'Nam kit with the M2 for a bit anyway I'm thinking. Who else is on board with this gun? Let's get a roll call going. Slainte! -G

BTW, I requested a quote from WGC as a back up plan....
$410 with shipping-
UNCo has plenty of them and they are $60 bucks cheaper with shipping.
Guns-N-Guys does have the magazines in stock, for $46 bucks, and they want $360 for the gun alone!! yikes!
DEN Trinity has them at the same price as WGC- so far I haven't found anyone else that is stocking the magazines.

Well i know the m2 carbine is closer to wwii, but really nobody except for south vietnamese and early advisors used the m2 carbine. Most of the photo's ppl see with the m2 carbine in US soldiers hands are throphies from VC. The WGC m16 is okay, but not worth it. Just get a normal marui m16, but for now, i would totally get a m2 carbine, before they get out of stock in the US, and maybe low supplies in Japan, who knows, new weapon, more buyers!

Guiness I have one ordered as well. (WGC) They had some other iyems I wanted as well so I decided to go ahead and get it all from one place. They were out of spare magazines unfortunately. Getting a gas gun in the dead of winter isn't the best timing in the world but I have been waiting for this gun for a long time.
You would often see carbines with Green berets as well as Grease guns and Thompsons. We had some thompsons mostly for dinking around in Vietnam with the 1st brigade of the 101st. I don't recall anyone taking them out in the boonies however.
