It is winter here in Pennsylvania where I live so I just decided it was time to "winter up" my gear. I use a sheet i cut fancy into a zeltbahn shape and i white washed my FJ helmet. I was just wondering, does anyone white wash thier helmet and treat their uniform and gear like actual combat equipment that you would essentially live in? Or is this blasphemy in some peoples minds to get their gear dirty, and have it stay dirty, cause in some cases, it is expensive.

I white wash my helmet , sometimes my equipment as well but not often , i was thinking about getting another set of gear to keep it as my Winter set so i don't have to clean the other sets after every event. Here's some pics of our FJ unit and our sister FJ unit from California at an Ost Front event a while back

Wow! You guys have excellent stuff! Im glad to see someone else treats their gear like gear instead of treating it like an artifact of something (like some of the people in my area). Me, I play enough that the white wash wears off after a while on its own, it gives everything that nice "used" look.
