Here's a picture of a very over looked pistol of WWII. Everyone always has a Colt M1911 on there hip but you never see one of these. The Smith & Wesson .38 "Victory" Revolver. This is the Tanaka airsoft version. The grips you see are original WWII grips. The gun came with a CHEESY set of modern plastic grips. Once you swap them out the gun is great! A dead wringer for the real steel. Once I get a chance to test fire it I'll post a review.

Yeah, ya never hear about it cause it was totally useless as a combat pistol. Thats why they built the 1911 so they would have something better for officers and mechanics. After WWII it was still used mainly by pilots in the navy who used it for firing tracer rounds when they were stranded. The .45 of the 1911 was used because it was strong enough to punch a hole in someone and knock them down as well. Alot of enemies would keep fighting after geting hit with the weaker .38
Not downing your airsoft gun though, that looks sweet and I would buy one if I had some extra cash lying around. Keep us updated!

WOW, Zak, you got one??? That is sweeeet! a gun I don't have/didnt even know about! These Tanaka revolvers are SWEET! I suggest picking up the .38 Victory Revolver. I also picked up a S&W .357 with ivory grips to finish off my Patton impression. ;D
