www.hlswilliwaw.com/aleutians/www.hlswilliwaw.com/aleutians/Attu/html/attu-wwii-pg1.htmgood site with a good number of pics...here's one... looks like the norm would be wools,sweater,M41 jacket or mackinaw(though some pics seem to show the M43 jacket in use),jeep cap, alot of winter tanker bib overalls, alot of private purchase mukluks were used and shoepacs later on.just the standard web gear and ethere was alot of gear that was tested and used during the battles in alaska. also get a copy of " thousand mile war" by b. garfield.usually you can get it through your local library..good read and alot of pics of the time and place.

I have WW2 issued heavy parka as well as an M-41 Arctic jacket which was used (Slightly longer tail and heavier inner wool lining then a conventional M-41.) I also have an Mountain parka that was also used and some Mountain rucks. If you're seriously interested in any of these items and they might fit you'd I'd consider selling some or all of them.

Early in the war yes. Late in the war they finally got the duck billed cold weather boots. Units like the 10th had a mountain ski boot but also had their service shoes and leggings.
