I'm not a big fan of the electric blowback, but I do like the pre-weathered look.

In spite of the rediculous hi cap mag the gun looks darn good. Can you beliefve it we'll have three choices for a PPSH AEG in a short while. Incredible. So far I'm most impressedwith Maxims offering and not just because he came on this site (although it helps)

Most people are more into the paintball style of play rather then the milsim style like most of us are.

I hate hi-caps. I just have them for my STG because thats all they have. All my modern GBB rifles,my SCAR,M4,and AK-74 are all real caps.

It frustrates me to no end since I cannot imagine it would be difficult for most companies to offer a low/mid cap as well as a high cap. I have a Vietnam kit with all low caps mags, and it is simply brilliant. My MP-40 load out is all low/mid cap as well. It add so much to a game when ammo conservation and clip changing are involved. Recently I got an Stg. and I am resorting to taking the mag in and out after winds, to kind of simulate a mid cap mag. It is a stupid work around, and it saddens me that there will probably never be a lower cap mag for the Stg.

but remember, we historical people are only a small piece of the pie, most of the pie are those untatical airsofters that love to spray and pray.

if i go ares (probably will go HP tho), i hope the mags are cheap. That way, i can get a few and actually swap them out after like 71 ish rounds instead of 2000. plus then i can recycle them without having to refill. (fill em up with 2000 rounds, shoot 71, switch clip, then repeat)

$400.00 for an all wood, all steel, limited production niche market AEG is a bargain and we are blessed to have these new entries come into the marketplace. You wonder why manufacturers are reluctant to itch our scratch? It's because of that exact reaction. It's too much money whaaaaa whaaa whaaaa?
I'm sure an all plastic, fake stocked, less authentic replica will be availble soon for less money. You can then whine about that.
Let's look at the math, If a company does the production and tooling to produce a new product and it cost $30,000 in tooling design and machine work (probably a low estimate) if you sell 10,000 of them your set up cost amortize such that it factors in only three dollars per gun. If you sell 1,000 of them it's $30. If sales only hit 100 your costs and gamble takes away $300.00 per gun. Hence every airsoft gun manufacturer has to contemplate How many of these will we actually sell. What's the market size at a low dollar amount? What's the market size at a higher amount? Is there a break even point? What are the odds I'll hit it? For WW2 airsoft guns the market is so small (by most of the manufacturers estimate) that they don't want to take the risk. Who can blame them? It will be intersting to see what happens with three manufacturers suddenly and strangely chasing this PPSH market. The fact that prices will be typically higer than for say another vanilla M4 or AK doesn't surprise me in the least. Hopefully all three manufacturers will do well with their offerings because if they don't, don't expect anymore WW2 offerings to come out for a good long while (If at all)
I personally think they'll do fine although with three chasing the market I worry a bit. It's a shame but 90% of the airsoft market (or higher) wants a BB hose with high FPS and ROF, light weight and stubby length. Arrrrrggggggghhhhhhh. The pablem set with their sneakers and jeans and 200 round bursts make me crazy. Low caps all the way.
Let's hope these PPSHs and the new BAR do well. I have orders in for them. 2010 has the potential to be an incredible year for WW2 airsoft.

I thought this was supposed to come out this month, but on Evike it says 3/1/10! I was hoping to get a papasha before the siege of leningrad event. Any news on the HP then?

Looks like I'm going to have to go into debt ... first the BAR came out and I preordered that, then I walk into a local gun shop and they have a scoped mosin in there.... and I really want this... time to cash out some vacation. This PPSH looks great, really top notch.
