I was just browsing boots on a website and I noticed that Corcoran still makes a WWII style jump boot which they call their "Historic Leather Military Brown Jump Boot". It appears to be an exact WWII replica but with maybe some internal improvements such as soles, but cosmetically it looks the same. The leather looks very very nice, even better than my ATF repros. Since they are about the same price as most repros, getting actual Corcoran brand seems to be the way to go. Has anyone had any experience with these? www.lapolicegear.com/come10hilemi.htmlI found them on several sites but this site seems to be pretty cheap. -Fenrir

Well, Corcoran technicly no longer exists as they were bought up by a parent company who's name I cannot remember. The thing is, Corcoran ran out of the leather they used for their boots they had left over from the Korean war boots and that parent company wouldn't let them have a whole new batch made just for a bunch of crazy reenactors =-p. So these are either dyed or painted but from what I hear they're OK.
Check the WWII Reenactors Forum, they were discussed at lenght there.

Corcoran is now owned by Cove. I have had several pair, and they are not painted or dyed or whatever. They are quality boots. WW2 Impressions actually has their boots made by Corcoran, with changes to a part of the sole and the form for the toe cap. The actual leather itself is the same. This place has the best price I have found and includes shipping. www.botac.com/10inhimibrju.html
