I dont see why not the nazis and russians were side by side till stalingrad so they might have been issued one. or traded a ppsh for one

The guy in the background seems to have an Mp40? I have seen russian "Tankriders" and another pic of soldiers involved in city combat using them aswell.

I suggest actually doing a bit of research before you post. The battle for 'Grad started in August 1942 and went to Feburary 1943. The Germans had been fighting the Russians for a year BEFORE Stalingrad. An MP40 is 100% correct, but there aren't many solid MP40s right outta the box around here. I would suggest the he get a Thompson and claim he got it in the lend lease act.

An mp40 is correct yes but no russian would trade the ppsh41 for a mp40. I think if he was given no weapon, or just the mosin nagant., and he was in the street fighting then he would grab a mp40.

Russians thought MP40's were POS's Germans thought PPSh's were "the schiznit" Solid weapons that rarely jammed. I'd say get a Thompson aswell.
