Found quite an interesting documentary about a small group of German soldiers who filmed their experiences on the Eastern front with small handheld cameras. Very interesting accounts from these men and some very rare footage. The film is about 90 min. long, I highly recommend checking it out. video.google.com/videoplay?docid=379776800074906671#

Very interesting. I'm sure they show a 3rd Motorized funeral at 24.15 into the tape. You can see the division symbol on the memorial and when the officers and men walk away you can see the kreuz emblems on the caps.

I'll have to watch it again to see the 3 PZGR footage! When in the film does it take place? I also recommend "Forgotten Soldier" for a good documentary about Wehrmacht atrocities and how controversial it was to talk about the theme in modern Germany. It's available on Netflix...even on demand.

The spot is marked in the quote Udo. Another spot to watch is 1 hr 22 minutes. Watch the whole minute. In there you'll see Georg's Chevy truck driving by which shows the Germans used Chevy's too. Finally, if you like body language watch the German soldier talk about how he saw civilians shot and how he reacts during that whole segment. He realized he was going down the wrong road as soon as he started talking about them and when the interviewers press him for more information he is fidgeting and then more-or-less admits he was part of the firing squads. I'm not judging as he really had few options but it is an excellent part of the tape if you want to see someone who is telling more than he planned to.

Great video post Warlord. Some really cool footage of the ostfront. Late in the video, you see a burned out Sherman. Part of lend lease, I imagine. Lot's of other cool footage.

Excellent film! Thanks for sharing Warlord. I noticed the 3rd PZGR funeral as well, had to rewind a few times to be sure. Very exciting to see the Cross of Lorraine insignia on some of the field caps and on the funeral decorations.
