im trying to decide between getting rigger pouches or the cartridge belt ( i think im going to go with the cartridge) and i wanted to know how many marushin garand clips i can fit in a small rigger pouch. if anyone knows then this information would be really helpful.

Well, I am guessing that you are doing 101st right?
In my opinion, to be safe, you should stick to the cartridge belt, but you can include both the belt and the riggers into a gear set. There are pictures dated back to 1943 that riggers were used, and there are a few pics around that show them in combat, but I wouldn't wh0re out on them if you decide to use them.

wow that was quick. yeah i was planning on getting the cartridge belt for some of those reasons but also because i could use them for infantry, marines, ect. p.s. my friend loves your icon he told me it was one of the funniest things he'd seen in a long time

lmao P.S. Technically speaking you can't use it for marines, as they had different markings. The army had the US on the outside, and the Marines had USMC on the inside.

i had My clips in rigger pouches they fikk you can get like 4-5 clips. but it's a pain when you're in the field, because when you run a lot they can jump out of the pouches.
i changed to cartridge and i'm verry happy with that.

Don't get riggers, they suck, just stick with the regualr cartridge belt.
They were defiantely used in combat, but like Gunfreak said, your clips will be forever falling out all over the place.

Granted the Issued Marine gear was marked USMC on the inside but in the PTO gear was basically shared between army and Marines, so your safe with an early war USMC impression and a ton of US marked gear in it.
When doing a late PTO impression though its a good idea to have all USMC marked gear as the mixing of Army and Marine gear was not that common latter on.
