Ugh, more automatic weapons, and no rifles...:-( All the "spray and prayers" will be happy. While the 1911 is not a rifle... it's not automatic either....

However if you actually read the fine print in the add for the 1911 you will find it is only a model for display purposes only, not a fire arm of any type. Also I am sure that the original poster of this comment was talking about the m3a1. Because that is what this thread is (mainly) about.

The battery in the magazine was probably the only option. Where else would it go? Just carry a big fat dependable speed loader and I think it would be a good gun for the player who wanted something different. Like blackwater said, if you want you can go the multiple battery route too.

AGM managed it with their MP40 I don't see why Ares couldn't do it with a Grease gun. Multiple batteries just gets a little expensive.

Has is come out yet? I probably won't buy it though, I like my M1 Garand alot better. And have the battery in the magazine kind of scares me, because now the actual gun will cost alot less, but the mags are going to be really expensive. So does anyone know the price either?

Ya know there are two other threads on this already. Cool they made a grease gun but I'd like to see more rifles, not SMG's.

I just ordered one fro Ehobbey asia, my first time dealing with them, I usually go through Den Trinity but EHA is having a 15% off sale that, even with shipping made it cheaper then Den. BTW they also have the ppsh on sale for 199!!
EHA has a video now on Youtube for the m3a1... I was hesitant about the whole battery/mag thing but I figure if I have three mags (assuming I will be able to get extra at some point) thats the equivalent of about a 6 mag load in real steel terms.
i was also thinking they could probably do a hicap buy doing a "taped" mag, and running everything inside the two mag housings. we'll see.

Tell how it is when you receive it. I wonder what kind of gearbox it uses.

Just had to put my 2 cents in.I'm really interested in a review of the thing, that would shed some light on it for a lot of people. They must of ran out of room for the battery and had to toss it into the magazine. Its the one flaw I see.I know I'm being captain obvious but they couldn't make enough room for a battery inside the top receiver or the side.

I would love to get one, but I'm gonna wait until I know that magazines are available and how much they cost. Seems that the battery in the magazine may make the cost prohibitive.

So the Grease gun has a mag well that doubles as a battery compartment? What were they thinking?
And you have to speed load the mag, AND it takes only 65 rounds AND fires on full auto only. I don't think there will be a high demand for this gun. Especially at $275.00 plus shipping.
The PPSH is a much better buy.
Just my opinion.

Yeah, I'm afraid the M3A1 is a "collectors" gun ... too bad. As you airsofters call it ... "it is not skrimish-able"I agree, the sale on the PPSH-41 makes it a sweet deal.

For WWII Airsofting, where rilfes should dominate the field, I think this Grease gun would be fine. What we really need is rifles, as we all know.

I received mine today from eHobbyAsia and I'm very pleased with it. I buy these mainly for my WWII weapons collection as I am disabled and don't "airsoft skirmish" so for my purpose it's a beauty. I can see where someone using this as a "play" piece would want multiple mags and were the cost of a battery for each mag involved wouldn't make it too practical. The mag has a slot on the top the mates up to a "male" prong when the magazine is slid home. So again, cost wise I can see where it could get expensive buying extra mags and batteries to fit them unless you wanna hassle with taking the battery out and refitting into a mew mag every time you trade out. Or of course the simpler option of just reloading the mag with a loader when your empty. All that said, I personally like it. eHobbyAsia was easy to deal with and delivered fast, I received it in 5 days for the order date.

Maybe since ARES is making SMGs that not many other companies are making, they will come up with a WW2 rifle that no one else has made, like a G43, SVT 40, or a Bren LMG.
Also on Red Wolf Airsoft's facebook there was a comment on a picture of a WW2 gun that Red Wolf had left saying some company(i think a Japanese or Taiwanese company) is in the process of making a Lee Enfield.
