theres still a few members based in Chicago that frequent these forums. Theres a few events coming up at a private location, let me know if you are interested. There was a 101st AB unit that used to be active here, but from what I understand they are now full time in real steel reenacting. We'd be happy to have you come along!

That sounds great, and invites to private fields would be amazing! I have two friends (roommates actually) that are US rangers impressions... I have US army as well as airborne. If you ever need three allies to join your events please don't hesitate to send the call=] between the three of us we have a BAR (as soon as its released, sigh...) a thompson, sten mkII, and Garand (our own firing squad)

this sounds great! unfortunately I will not be able to make it to the game on the 21st just due to short notice... however, if there are events coming up in the next couple months I will be sure to attend. I also have 2 friends (as mentioned above) who are US impressions as well as guns. We are all Loyola University students so we can pretty much make any game that does not conflict with mid terms and finals. Can't wait to hear about future events and see the location! Thanks

I hear ya, I go to EIU and have a hard time making it back for events some times. The host usually organizes the events around our breaks, even though everybody's Spring break was at different times! Plan on alot of events this summer tho, so dont sweat it if you cant attend some

This is awesome that the chicagoland is if I may, building back up. I got a friend who does US airborne and I do regular infantry. By the way I got another friend who goes to Loyola.

Oh for sure, over the summer we are gunna be able to add to the numbers! You have a friend that goes to Loyola? What's his/her name? Despite the fact that our school is 12,000 students, i might know them.

I'm in the NW suburbs and am currently putting together an airborne impression. I have the basic uniform and rifleman's webgear, and currently have a Marushin M-1 Garand and a Marui Thompson.
I'd be very interested in attending some events. And if anyone knows of any fields in the NW suburbs I would appreciate any info. I just got back here after 4 years in the military, and I didn't get into airsoft until I got to my unit in Hawaii, so I am very new to the scene out here.
Thanks in advance!

Hey, that sounds great dude! I have an airborne impression as well as US rangers so I can go along with my friends haha... So, there will be an event on April the 11th. Follow this board here for more information: ww2aa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=mid&action=display&thread=7097THis is training for a much larger event in Wisconsin the following weekend. (About 2.5 hours drive from the NW burbs). PM Bobah to get some more info. He's been helping me out with the information and what not. It sounds like the Illinois group is growing so I hope we can see more getting interest in the events!
