I sincerely hope it is not lawdog. Lawdog has a good reputation. easy green does not. Easygreen sells his stuff at inflated prices because his wording is very clever. he leads the uninformed buyer to believe that the item is original when it is not. I also know people who have email easygreen and asked about his replicating and aging techniques, only to be told that they are all original......
I am a member of the militaria collecting forum Easy green has a price on his head.....

Easygreen says the stuff is fake, half the time its swivel bail front seam helmets, anyone should know that thats post war. Easygreen is Grigsby militaria, I have a couple helmets by him, best in the biz if you ask me, but he takes a LONG time.

All I know is that a friend of mine talked with him about a specific helmet that was definitely a postwar repaint, but the guy insisted that it was original.....

I must be crazy but I always thought the front seam was indicative of a WW2 vintage helmet. Fixed bale being early war. help me out here? Have I been dillusional and mislead all these years?

yes it does.....in fact I have a reaer seam swivel bale with the numbers inside the by the visor - that means it was a wartime production but probably not issued....
I looked at easy_green's latest sales on ebay. He seems to have cleaned up a lot of the stuff that he was doing before. his wording is different, but let's hope his email responses no longer claim original paint jobs.......

So what's the deal on this? A misquote, misinformation or my bad. Isn't a front seam an indication of a WW2 era helmet I think everyone needs clarity here. I know I'm now confused.

You are Correct John, 90% of the time anything FRONT seam is WWII. Most rear seam stuff is Post war, but some is VERY late war. I think Gordak transposed the two.
