Wow, Its been over year since i have posted on this forum
has anyone made a resistance fighter impression?
I made one recently with drab dress clothes from salvation army, i use my thompson with it, and it is surprisingly comfortable for airsoft.

i have been making a comic book about Jewish resistance fighters, and i have become fascinated by the history behind the partisans. So i decided my secondary WW2 uniform would be partisan.

Ive been debating a few "resistance" impressions, ranging from Concentration Camp escapee, to Jewish Ghetto escapee. Being Jewish myself, neither really hits a very happy note, however, and I scrapped both projects. I every once in awhile think of a Ghetto escapee impression, but...

Well, ghetto fighter is a possible, but concentration camp escapee is really pushing it. Its kind of the same reason why i don't put swastikas on any of my German impression. WW2 airsoft is more focused on the military aspects of the history, and to me the holocaust should be left out of airsoft, so a camp escapee would be a bit much but a simple jewish resistance impression wouldn't be too bad because they did play a major role in the war.

Exactly my feelings on the subject. If you were to do such a resistance fighter, remeber to put the white armband with the Star of David. A key component.

Well Natman, the point of this airsoft "reenacting" is to portray the variety that fought in ww2 if you dont want to do a axis impression with the swastikas on it because it "offends you" that is respectable and totally understandable, but I wouldnt recommend you to do a axis impression. Just because there are swastikas on the uniforms that isnt the symbol for the holocaust, yes, that is a horrible thing that should be left out (and is left out) of ww2 airsoft but taking the swastika off is like taking the american flag off a US uniform, its the symbol. Again if you cant handle wearing it then I dont reccomend you do an axis impression. And a Jewish resistance fighter creative yet some axis guys might not feel comfortable fighting you guys (thats just me though). Just my 2 cents.

i see where you are coming from, but the swastika was not a symbol of germany, it was a symbol of the nazi party which removed the older germanic symbols. while removing a swastika from a german impression does remove the nationalistic origins of that piece, the uniform quite blatantly shows itself as german. As for the analogy of the us flag, the US flag does not have any politcal party's symbol on it, the eagle and swastika did. besides, i only play a german when the allied team is full ;D on my jewish partisan impression i have a black piece of coton cloth i simply tie to my arm, the universal symbol of a restance fighter. Thats about as close to any statement i make on the subject. -EDIT- i took this pic from my comic book, the guy with the rifle is me (i always draw myself as a minor character in my comics) i based my partisan impression on this.
