I have a few questions I was hoping yall could tell me the answers.
1. Did the 327th GIR use m1a1 "para" carbines? 2. Did the 327th GIR fight in Operation "Market Garden"?
Thanks any info would be nice.

The 327th GIR can be seen with some M1A1 Carbines as well as the standard M1 Carbine. They also were a part of Operation Market Garden. If you have any more Glider related questions feel free to ask away as I do a 325th GIR impression.

The glider troops carried the same stuff as straight leg basically.

not essentially guitarmaster, they wore a lot of rigger modded m43s, and corcoran jump boots. Also as mango stated, they used folding stock carbines, and those aren't standard issue for the leg infantry.

Okay. I wasn't quite sure. Here are some photos of some of the men of the 325th GIR from the 82nd Airborne Museum Archives. Many interesting things in this photo. 48 Star flags on Service shirts and many with Jump Boots. Also notice the 1918 knife in M6 Scabbard. Again many jump boots as well as the modded M1943s. I really like this photo for multiple reasons. It shows the M1A1, the Cross of Lorraine on the helmet which was the insignia for the 325th but didn't show up on helmets until late in the war. The 82nd rarely had insignia painted on their helmets. Also I really like the M1944 Pack System that is shown. While these are only a few photos there are many more out there suggesting evidence of these specific "Airborne" items being used by not only the Airborne. But by Glider troops as well as many others.
