Ok, this is probably obvious to anybody but me. How do you get a helmet net attached to the M1 helmet? I figured it was something that just slid over the helmet and presto like a net helmet cover. I got a square piece of mesh in a box that doesn't look like I thought it should and now I'm clueless. Anybody got pics of the process they can post. Sorry, this is a newbie question but I'd hate to tear it up because I tried to put it on wrong.

The helmet liner holds it on. Take the plastic liner out, stretch the netting tight over the top and fold in into the inside of the helmet. Then push the liner back in. It should hold.

Likewise, you can loop one of the squares from the helmet netting over the bales on the helmet, to hold it even snugger. Soak the helmet net in water first, it allows it to stretch farther.

Thanks guys. I found a how to an ATF's site. After much stretching and complaining I got it to fit. It looks pretty good.
