Alright I am putting the final touches on my 1st Marine Div riflemens impression form Guadal Cannal.
I have purchased an original 1915 dated M1910 Cartridge belt with pleated bottoms and I got to thinking what the heck would have been used as an ammo bandolier for a bolt action rifle. I was thinking an M1 Garand ammo Bandolier but this is 1942 USMC and Im doubting that they would have had that item seeing as they were issued the M1 Garand in late 43 early 44 and the ETO had first dibs on that stuff.
So what should I use for a US bolt action rifle ammunition bandolier?

TommyGunner Yeah, there was such a thing as a 'Bolt-Action' bandoleer- .........you just had to remove the bullets one at a time....... Ok, Joke disclaimer! That was a joke as in humor- comedy Actually I would suggest the $8 bandoleer from Service of Supply I have been well pleased with all of mine. Slainte! -G

Very funny Guiness, But I did see that type of Bandolier on a web site but I was kinda hoping there was something else, Ill just go with the M1 Bandolier then.
When I bought the Belt I also bought 100rnds of ammo on Springfield strippers to fill the belt out, so I guess Ill buy some more to fill out the bandolier also!
