What size are your calfs??? If they are near 13 inches around you will need 3R, any larger and your looking at 4R. Make sure you get army leggings though, and not marine leggings, which run smaller and have fewer eyelets. Hope that helps!!!!!

Sorry to revive this, but if you have anywhere near 16 inch calves, size 6 are really good. I bought a pair on ebay, and they fit me perfectly.

Lol, you could jump to the moon with those bad boys...... Anyway...............does the size say 6 or 6R, cause just 6 and their USMC, also how many eyelets do they have? Under 7 (I think) and they are USMC................

haha, nice! they say just 6, and they have only six eyelets. so they must be usmc. just curious though, i'm trying to put together a german impression right now, but i'm going to do an american one later, would it be alright to use them for an army impression? i had quiet a hard time finding a pair that would fit me, and they look pretty much identical anyway, so......

Army would use army leggings. Unless someone can provide me a picture of a us army soldier wearing marine leggings. Difference is the army leggings have 17 eyelits. -Nick

Actualyl I did some reaseach and the so called USMC Leggings are actually an early Version of the M1936 Leggings and are really an Army design adopted by the USMC and used early in the war.

ah, okay. looks like i'm going to have to try to find a huge size of army ones then. i have no idea if 3 would work. either that or airborne or just go with double buckle boots. i would never do a marine impression. i just don't like the gear and uniforms.

Go to old grouch's military..........they have leggings for about 17 shipped. They are a little on the olive drab side.........but they are 3R, army, and are originals. Mine have held up nicely.

P.S. If your calves are over 16 inches then definiatly get bigger than a 3R, but the army sizes and USMC sizes are completely diffrent, with the usmc being WAY smaller.

They might be a little big on you though, but at least you wouldnt have to replace them later if you buy the 3R instead of the 2R.

It helps to have long shins - my leggings do not reach to the thickest part of my calf, even though they are army M38 long ones. Our platoon sergeant wears 1R, he's a sight.

anyone know how/where to get large leggings or something enlarged. The biggest size i saw on the link was 22" but my calf is 23" when its not flexed!! I just need something really big. hehe, guess it does hurt a little do work out.
ps. it looks like i won the "biggest calf contest". Wrestling/football/and tennis year round really does a number to "the guns". But I am a big guy to begin with (about 6''2-6'3, size 14 shoe, ect.)
