I will be all over a Type 99 LMG when someone makes one. I got to fire the real steel, and that thing is awesome.

Very very impressive. Both the video and the printed release are extremely encouraging. Love the 42 round mag capacity, the expected FPS and the wood looks great as does the whole rifle. I cant wait to get one and do a little cosmetic tweaking to make it more field and period representative. I am stoked!
My own rifles are now relegated to loaner, rental status. I really need to liquidate in order to set aside funds for all these amazing new WW2 offerings! Its all finally coming together. Can GnG top this? What a cool question to be asking!

After Taking a look at all of these videos and pictures I will start calling around to my Distributors to try and get one of these in stock at Fox Airsoft.
As soon as we get one in I will do a full review of it.

it was fun to go back to the original post and step through the 10 pages of posts and predictions. Now that we hopefully are on the brink of actually being able to acquire one its fascinating to read all the so called verified facts and concrete rumors with regard to release dates, performance characteristics and pricing.
It appears that my guess of two years ago that it would be 2013 before we'd actually see one is going to be pretty accurate. Its also a surprise that ICS will apparently beat GnG with an earlier release. TWO YEARS weve been talking about this as though it were imminent. Yikes!!!!!

Such is the nature of WW2 airsoft armament...lol I wouldn't have thought a reasonably priced BAR would be out faster either.

The originally rumored VFC Clone BAR (Blackbear / Matrix) was out and being talked about with pre orders on web sites before the ICS Garand rumors started circulating. From initial hints at production to actual deliveries of new offerings seem to average about 2 1/2 years. The exception were the two grease guns which both came out of the woodwork quite quickly.

The magazine looks like the bottom slides off, which would mean the rest of the mag fits in the M1923 belt. That would please me greatly.

It would be a nice touch if the clip slid into the Garand belt pouches and the cotton bandoleers. Wen the question was posed to ICS they responded quite specifically that they would not. It's kind of a shame but certainly not a deal breaker for me. I think it is the rare inividual that will be able to afford enough clips where this lapse would be problematic. At 42 rounds per clip a guy wont need 10 or more ready clips. The few clips that most of us have will fit nicely somewhere handy no doubt. Still if you could have say one clip with th base plate for static display and then a bunch without for use during skirmishes that would be really nice
I'm more concerned that the cost of the clips is low enough that one can afford to have plenty on hand. Well under $10.00 each would be nice.

Beats the 12 rounds I have now, given the amount of STG44s and MP40s on the opposing force.

True That. One is definitely going to have to get good at swapping clips. The pop off release where the normal bolt release is, looks clever but im a bit concerned about it getting bumped and accidently dumping a clip.

I for one will wait until Evike or Airsoft GI or Redwolf or someone has them in stock for immediate shipping and until it appears the pricepoint is in sync with the marketing intent. (in otherwords not gouging the early adoters.). I Understand the retail mindset and dont blame anyone for getting what they can while they can but its not something pressing from a time perspective for me.
Like others Id love to see a plastic stocked version in the. $200 to $250 range or less. I also hope spare clips will be readily available and affordable as without spare clips this clearly isnt skirmishable.

I preordered that BAR that never came out and had 600 or so dollars tied up for a half a year. It makes me wary however this is an ICS gun not some chinese vaporware. I will wait and see.

It seems several of us bit on the original Clone BAR and I actually pre ordered two and had those funds tied up for months upon months. With that experience behind me i vowed not to repeat it but when Evike showed the ECHO BAR in stock I placed an order. According to the tracking number it will arrive tomorrow!
I will resist the urge to be first on the block and will wait to send funds on the Garand until they are on hand and ready to ship. In the meantime i need to sell a couple more of my homebuilt Garands while I still might be able to get decent money for them!

So you're never going to pre-order from evike because they never shipped a gun that barely existed in the first place? Anyways, I just pre-ordered my Garand with some Christmas money. I also used Evike's christmas discount code so I was able to order it for $280. Good deal.

You obviously perked all our attention with that post. What are the details on the Christmas discount code? Or are you pulling our leg?

When you order, on the page where you select credit card or PayPal there's a box you can put coupon codes.

Well, I couldn't resist. I am extremely doubtful of a February arrival but obviously I have confidence this time that EVIKE will come through. Hopefully when they come in there will be reasonably priced spare clips available.

EVIKE just posted a video first hand review of the ICS Garand from the shot show. The grip area looks a bit thick (more than a bit actually) but otherwise it looks great. I know they are doing this o the wood will have reasonabe strength through the neck where the motor is locate.
I remain excited and also look forwrd to the GnG.

They probably heard you say that the grip area was too thin for the motor when you used to build them I'm glad they did this, I'd rather have the dimensions a bit off, then my rifle stock braking

amen to that Czarkowski.
Murphy states that if they kept the stock dimensions 1:1, the gun would snap on your first skirmish, in the middle of nowhere.
