I'm trying to set up a good ardennes campaign impression and I'm not entirely sure on what to get/do. Any opinions/suggestions for a 99th impression? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah, I had an idea of weaponry, but I just didn't want to go out and buy a bunch of random gear and look like an special person at an event. I'm hoping to find a BAR soon. So, I guess my question should be: What gear would work best for a late-war support gunner? BTW: thanks for the links.

Erm, the usual? M43 uniform, double buckle boots, bar belt and steel helmet i'd have thought What does googling 'late war US infantry WWII' images give you? Or 'US Army battle of bulge'? TBH though you're nearly always better getting early war stuff over late war as it gives you more options. Early war stuff was used for the duration until it wore out. Kit yourself out in a January 1945 uniform and you're going to look odd at a D-day event... whereas a D-day uniform *doesnt* look odd in a BotB battle if you get me?

I thought the costume department for "Miracle at St. Anna" did a good job mixing older and newer uniform items for a late 1944 Italian campaign impression. An otherwise so-so movie.

Thanks for the suggestions, I should be able to get something going. Hopefully soon. (I blew all my money on a vietnam aircav impression last month.)
